Background

During my system update my Raspberry prints always the following error message:

Repository ‘https://dl.ui.com/unifi/debian stable InRelease’ changed its ‘Codename’ value from ‘unifi-7.3’ to ‘unifi-7.5’

Fixing it, is actually very easy 🙂 Read the below.

Changed its ‘Codename’ value from ‘unifi-7.3’ to ‘unifi-7.5’

The error messages basically occurs in the scenario that I have seen, when updating my linux system leveraging on the following command:

sudo apt update; sudo apt full-upgrade -y; sudo apt autoremove -y; sudo apt-get autoclean -y

After the system runs thru what it needs to do, it stops displaying:
Get:6 http://raspbian.raspberrypi.org/raspbian bullseye/main armhf Packages [13.2 MB]
Get:1 https://dl.ui.com/unifi/debian stable InRelease [1,536 B]
Get:7 http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian bullseye/main armhf Packages [314 kB]
E: Repository 'https://dl.ui.com/unifi/debian stable InRelease' changed its 'Codename' value from 'unifi-7.3' to 'unifi-7.5'
N: This must be accepted explicitly before updates for this repository can be applied. See apt-secure(8) manpage for details.
Do you want to accept these changes and continue updating from this repository? [y/N]

Just hitting enter is the issue here, because it would select “no”. Instead you should select Yes, hence type Y in order to update your UniFi environment.

NOTE: Before doing so, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO BACKUP YOUR UNIFI ENVIORNEMENT, leveraging on the UnFi Controller / UniFi Network Software by logging in via the web interface.
